Christchurch Immigration Health is a purpose-developed clinic, specifically designed to meet the needs of our clients and Immigration NZ. Everything can be performed on the day in one great facility with free on-site parking. The staff all have over ten years of experience with immigration medicals and aim to provide a friendly, efficient service at a great value. All medicals are submitted online (usually within 24-48hrs) so there’s no waiting and minimal paperwork. Photographs will be taken at the clinic so there’s no need to bring your own. Remember, you may be required to provide a urine and/or blood sample which will be done at the same time.

At Christchurch Immigration Health we have proximity to a wide range of specialists on-site. This enables us to specialise in the effective, collation and submission of follow-up opinions, as and when requested by Immigration New Zealand.

Meet the Team

Dr Lisa christchurch immigration health Group

Dr. Lisa Amin

Dr. Lisa, trained in the United Kingdom where she obtained the qualification as a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). Despite having a young family, it wasn’t long before she became a partner in her own practice. In 2011 Lisa and her family embraced an opportunity to move to New Zealand. Working as a General Practitioner Lisa took on the additional role of immigration medical practitioner and panel physician. She also obtained her fellowship with the NZ College of GP (FRNZCGP).

Whilst Lisa was born in Singapore, she has worked in the United Kingdom, Australia and now is a proud Kiwi living and working in New Zealand. As a migrant herself Lisa understands what it means to work and raise a family in a foreign country, culture and environment. It is no surprise that with 11 years of extensive experience and expertise Lisa has become one of the leading panel physicians in Christchurch.

Lisa has been present and intrinsically involved in the inception and development of Christchurch Immigration Health. This service has been specifically developed and is dedicated to meet the medical needs of the migrant population. Once meeting Dr Lisa it only takes a moment to recognise how much Lisa enjoys meeting people from all walks of life. The reviews of the clinic clearly show her love for her job and the importance of the role she plays. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys running, tramping and embarking on new experiences with her family.

Dr. Sridevi Lamba

Dr. Shri Lamba is a GP here in New Zealand, and one of the hats she wears is in immigration health. Alongside her other clinical roles, she values the unique opportunity this work provides to meet people from diverse backgrounds and hear their stories. Shri particularly enjoys seeing patients in the context of their migration journey, often at a time when they are well and not defined by illness. As an immigrant herself,  Shri appreciates the personal and cultural nuances that can shape this experience, and she strives to make the process as supportive and understanding as possible.

Margie christchurch immigration health Group

Margie

I have 40 years of nursing experience in general nursing, psychiatric, gerontology, phlebotomy and fertility. I have also been involved in the recent vaccination program. One of the best parts of my role is I get to meet people from all walks of life and from different countries.

Outside of work I am enthusiastic about arts and crafts and donate many of my wonderful creations to causes like premature babies. I am an avid food creator and love cooking and baking for friends and family.

I enjoy taking my little dog for walks in the many great parks around the garden city and having a great coffee afterwards.
